A walk in Petrópolis

We enjoyed our holiday weekend with a walk in Petrópolis we could never forget. We met at Rio & Learn and went to Cidade Imperial by car. We came the whole way talking about our holiday. When we got to Petrópolis our first stop was at Palácio Quitandinha. What an incredible place, with and German architecture, the place in now a cultural space that keeps the memories of what had been the biggest Cassino in Brazil.

Then we went to the center of the city to have a relaxing horse carriage tour and visit many historical tourist places in the city. After a short break for lunch we went to the Museu Imperial (Imperial Museum). For those who like history, the place is perfect. To walk in the museum is necessary to wear slippers and it amused us a lot because we used it to slide all over the floor.

And to bring our RioLIVE! to a great end we went to Cervejaria Bohemia. We learn all the processes of beer preparation and the best of all, we drank beers of different flavors. It was great way to speak Portuguese as our guide only spoke this language. It was indeed a great afternoon in the Cidade Imperial.

Enjoy your weekend with Rio & Learn participating on our RioLIVE! activities!
