Gisteren bezochten we Forte de Copacabana, waar we een prachtig uitzicht hadden op het beroemdste strand ter wereld. Na een tour door het fort was het tijd om af te koelen met een koud biertje op Ipanema en een duik in de zee. Daarna zochten we een plekje op Pedra do Arpoador om de zonsondergang te bekijken. Caipirinhas, brigadeiros, leuke mensen en veel gelachen…beter kun je je avond niet beginnen!
Yesterday we had a very fun afternoon at
Arpoador. Our sunny afternoon in Rio de Janeiro started with a walk by Copacabana beach. Since it was really hot, we made a stop to have some caipirinhas. Our walk took us to
Forte de Copacabana, a historical place that’s great to take pictures and speak Portuguese. The students asked a lot of questions about the history of Rio de Janeiro. Our student Paulina was very happy to learn about the history of
Copacabana.
After the Fort we went to Arpoador and walked all the way up the big rock to enjoy the sunset with the cariocas. Since it was very hot, the students went for a swim at Ipanema beach. At this point the group divided, while some of them were swimming, the others were drinking caipirinha. After that we simply enjoyed the beautiful view of the place. We relaxed until the sunset came and finished our afternoon applauding this beautiful nature spectacle.
