The favela tour was fun and informative. We learned alot about the culture and rules of the favela. We even got a chance to play soccer (football) with some locals. There was also really nice views of rio from this favela. A great experience with my fellow classmates and Rio & Learn to learn more about Rio and practice my Portuguese!

Our students spent an afternoon inside a favela. They spent the afternoon visiting morro Dona Marta in Rio de Janeiro. This is a community located at the neighborhood of Botafogo and it is really famous because Michael Jackson recorded a videoclip in 1996. Besides this fact, the students could learn a lot about its history, the way people inside live it, get to know them, see the views from Rio and all of this speaking Portuguese. Tbe best way to spend an afternoon in a favela.
