Bird’s-eye view of Rio from Sugarloaf Mountain

Absolutely amazing! The combination of a hike through nature in conjunction with the spectacular bird’s-eye view of Rio has made the day at Sugarloarf Mountain unforgettable. It was such a peaceful place to escape from the bustling city for a moment. Nothing can beat an ice-cold refreshment with good company at Sugar Loaf Mountain. Highly recommended!!!

In this RioLIVE! Activity students of Portuguese and teacher from different countries and different generations got together to have this amazing experience at Sugarloaf Mountain. When we got to Praia Vermelha we were excited to enjoy the beautiful day but we also knew the hot carioca summer would pose an extra challenge for the activity. We hiked up to the top of Urca Mountain and then we got the bondinho, as locals call the cable car, to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain. It was an indescribable feeling. As one of the students, Ricky Hu, well said, it’s a spectacular bird’s-eye view of Rio.
