We went on a boat ride from the marina for a Portuguese immersion experience, and to see some of the sights around the coast and the port of Rio de Janeiro. It was a fun experience, because the girl who was the tour guide was really fun and animated with her descriptions of the boats, planes, and cultural monuments here. It was neat to see Rio from the water, and to learn more about the bay area here. The boat is shaded so you didn’t get sunburned or anything. The trip wasn’t too long nor too short.

How about spending your birthday on the sea? One of our students did that! Besides celebrating one student’s birthday, our students visited the Navy Cultural Space with RioLIVE! Weekends. A beautiful place in the city centre that offers great activities: a visit inside the naval museum, submarine, battleship and in the end a lovely tour around Guanabara’s Bay. All the ingredients for the perfect birthday on the sea!
