Botafogo’s Bay

Zusammen mit Pablo, dem Koordinator der RioLive!-Aktivitäten, haben wir einen Ausflug zum Strand von Botafogo unternommen. Von dort hat man einen wundervollen Blick auf den Zuckerhut. Wir haben den Nachmittag damit verbracht, den Strand entlang zu spazieren und uns auf Portugiesisch zu unterhalten. Unsere Endstation war die Dachterrasse des Botafogo-Shoppingcenters, von der aus wir gemeinsam den Sonnenuntergang bewundert haben. Empfehlenswert!

Botafogo’s Bay has one of the prettiest landscapes of Rio de Janeiro, because it is the only place where people can see Pão de Açúcar, Cristo Redentor, Niterói and Morro da Urca at the same time. It’s an amazing place to take nice pictures.

We started our RioLIVE! at Praia do Flamengo, a very famous place to practice sports. While we were walking around the beach, our Portuguese students took the moment to know each other better and practice their Portuguese. We continued our stroll and we arrived at Praia de Botafogo, where the students could take nice pictures there. We finished our nice afternoon at Botafogo Praia Shopping Center, at the terrace of the mall, where there is a marvelous landscape.

In the end, everybody was satisfied with the experience and they had the same opinion: “Rio de Janeiro really is the Cidade Maravilhosa (wonderful city).” It was a very fun afternoon.
