Brazilian ID card

Documento de Identidad en Brasil.

Hello dear friends! In our Dica today we are going to learn about the Brazilian ID card.

Have you ever seen the Brazil ID card? Let’s learn a bit about it.

What is the Brazilian ID card?

The Brazilian ID card is a document for citizens born and registered in Brazil, and also for people that are born abroad, but have Brazilian parents. The registry of the ID happens throughout all the Brazilian territory and can also be used instead of the passport by people travelling to Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. Besides your picture and your fingerprint, in it you will also find your essential information, like:

Nome: Name of the ID card holder.
Filiação: Name of the parents of the ID card holder.
Data de nascimento: Date in which the ID card holder was born.
Naturalidade: City in which the ID card holder was born.
CPF: Cadastro de Pessoa Física. Brazilian social security number.
Assinatura: Signature of the ID card holder.

We also know the Brazilian ID card as RG (Registro Geral, overall record in Portuguese). To request one, the citizen must look for a civil identification station. There’s no age limit for whoever wants to request an ID.
