Feira de São Cristóvão ou Centro Luiz Gonzaga de Tradições Nordestinas (Luiz Gonzaga Northeastern Traditions Center) is a pavilion that promotes culture and Northeastern products. The Northeast of Brazil is a huge part of the country with a lot of different traditions, culture and locations. It makes that fair an amazing place to experience a lot of Brazilian sensations that foreigners are not used to.
Around we will find out Northestearn traditional dresses, dishes, food, fruits, presents, handmade products and music all around the fair. We will see around people dancing forró that it’s very popular and traditional in this part of Brazil. So, if you want you can try to dance too.
If you are hungry and would like to experience local food, you can have a typical Northeastern dinner with us and have a great time to exercise your Portuguese.
Feira de São Cristóvão is located in the city of Rio de Janeiro, at North Zone (Zona Norte). It was created in honor of Luiz Gonzaga, the King of Baiao.
Your eyes are not going to be able to look to everything around 😉
