לאחר השיעור הראשון שלי בפורטוגזית, החלטתי להצטרף לפעילות היומית שמתרחשת בכל יום לאחר השיעור. הפעילות היא בליווי אחד המורים והיא מאפשרת להכיר אזורים חדשים בריו, להכיר את שאר התלמידים, ולהתאמן בדיבור השפה.
הפעם, הלכנו להר הסוכר. הטיול כלל טיפוס קל של כ30 דקות והמשיך בעלייה ברכבל עד לפסגה. הנוף היה מרהיב. יצא ששמעתי ודיברתי (לפחות ניסיתי) פורטוגזית במשך רוב היום.

We started our RioLIVE! at Pista Claudio Coutinho, which led us to the hiking track to Sugarloaf mountain. On the way up we found a famous tree here, Pau Brasil, that gave name to our country and students were impressed with such a high tree. We must confess that we were a little tired when we got to the top, but the view we had there, took the tiredness away. We were totally charmed by Sugarloaf!
