Chilling out with history and nature

Museu da República - Rio de Janeiro

Yesterday we visited the Catete Palace in Rio de Janeiro where our 5 star guide and profe Diogo explained the historical significance of the luxurious colonial palace that was once the presidential residence of former Brazilian president Getúlio Vargas. There, we learned about the palace’s political history where he committed suicide. Afterwards we walked through the palace’s landscaped park admiring its gardens, lakes, bridges and all of its natural beauty. So if you’re into history and free museums come and visit the Catete Palace!

Garden at Parque do Catete

After a morning with Portuguese classes. Nothing better than chilling out with history and nature. This is possible by visiting Parque do Catete. Our students could immerse into history inside the building which is a museum now but used to be the president’s house. Right after, a nice walk inside the garden where people can relax, exercise, see animals, as said before, chilling out with history and nature.
