Hello! So, yesterday´s trip, we went to see Cristo Redentor. Awesome! As it was my first day at the school it was a great way to get to know some of the other students. Everyone has such interesting stories of why they are in Brazil and why they are learning Portuguese. The teacher was lovely and really encouraged me to try speaking Portuguese. I know almost nothing so that was a bit daunting but I know I can only learn through practice so it was benificial. The site was amazing. It was great to see such an icon of this city and view itself would have been worth the trip. All in all it was a great afternoon out. Obrigada!!!
Christ, Sunset and Portuguese, what a good mixture to spend a beautiful afternoon visiting one of the most famous landmarks in Rio de Janeiro, Cristo Redentor (Christ Redeemer). That was our RioLIVE!, visiting this wonderful place that is knwon all over the planet and is considered one of the seven wonders of the modern world.
Our students from Spain, England, New Zealand and France took this trip with Rio & Learn to meet this awesome place. They started the visitation tooking the bus and passing through some popular neighborhoods in Rio, such as Flamengo and Laranjeiras , considered traditional and very wealthy places in the city. At the bottom of the Corcovado Mountain, our students took the train until the top of the place. When they got there, they were really amazed with the statue of the Christ and its beauty, besides that, they really loved the view that they could have of different places in Rio de Janeiro, taking many pictures and also doing some videos for their families and friends.
In the end, they finished the visit with a beautiful sunset and having nice conversations in Portuguese with each other. They were really happy, because for all of them, it was the first time visiting the Christ Redeemer. So, What about you? How about trying one of our RioLIVE! Activities?
