Hello people! Ready to learn Portuguese? In today’s Dica we will get to know the Claudio Coutinho Trail, a great place to walk, be among nature and take some exercise.
About The Claudio Coutinho Trail
The Claudio Coutinho Trail is a trail located next to Praia Vermelha in Urca, a neighborhood of the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The name of this trail is a tribute to the physical trainer of Brazil’s 1970 football team, who used this place to prepare for a game. This trail is also known by the locals as Caminho do Bem-te-vi (Bem-te-vi’s path) because there you can hear the Bem-te-vi (Kiskadee) birds singing. Look how beautiful a Bem-te-vi is:
How to get there
The entrance to the trail is on the left side of Praia Vermelha beach, so it’s really easy to find. The place is ideal for walking and contemplation of the view since skateboarding, riding bicycles or using roller blades is forbidden.
