Gestern haben uns Pablo und Albert durch die inzwischen befriedete Favela Vidigal zum Aufstieg des Morro Dois Irmãos und anschliessend durch den Wald zum Gipfel gefuehrt. Der Weg durch den Wald ist zwar etwas anstrengend, die atemberaubende Aussicht entschaedigt jedoch alles. Von oben kann man u.a. die traumhaften Straende der Zone Sul sowie die Christusstatue bewundern. Alles war perfekt :-). Ich empfehle jedem diese Tour mit RioLIVE!
Morro Dois Irmãos is surely one of the most beautiful places in Rio de Janeiro. With 533 m over the sea level, it is higher than Pão de Açúcar (395 m), but it is not higher than Corcovado (704 m) but it has an outstanding view of the city.
We started our RioLIVE! making a Favela Tour around Morro do Vidgal, a place that has been urbanized and also has increased very much with real state business. After that, we started our hiking. It was very interesting, because in each break to rest we could have a nice view of Cidade Maravilhosa.
In the end, the long hiking didn’t brought our Portuguese students down, when they got at the top, all the hard work was worthwhile. We were really amazed with the wonderful landscape and we took some pictures while practicing our Portuguese, it was an amazing experience.
