Wir haben heute einen Ausflug zur bekannten Jesus-Statue unternommen, die hoch oben auf dem Berg Corcovado steht. Man hat von dort aus einen super Ausblick auf die ganze Stadt und kann die verschiedenen Ortsteile von Río erkennen.

In this RioLIVE! we went to the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer, on top of the Corcovado Mountain. First day in Brazil for one of the students and first day of class for another one, nothing better than going to one of the seven wonders of the modern world to start experiecing Rio live. Besides feeling welcome by Christ with his open arms over the city, from the top of the Corcovado Mountain the students were able to se many of the beauties of Rio and understood why it is known as the marvelous city, full of a thousand charms, as the song says. What made this day even more especial was the cultural exchange between the students who were from Germany and the USA and had a mixed parental background that included the countries of Poland, Italy, Argentina and Mexico.
