The favela tour was really fun, I really liked to see the city with another perspective. Since I can’t go there alone, I am really thankful to the school for this wonderful activity, besides meeting the place, something that I also enjoyed was that I could speak and improve my Portuguese with my classmates too. A great experience for me!!!

Rio with a different perpective.
Fun at the favelas in Rio is something very natural for foreign students, Favela Santa Marta is always a special place for the students of Rio & Learn Portuguese School, many students come here waiting for this activity, a favela always visited by hollywood stars, singers, and actors that made this carioca place very famous in Brazil and around the world. At this time the Rio & Learn boys and girls from Colombia, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, United States, Norway and France had a great chance to meet the favela and take some pictures at the square where the legendary Michael Jackson made a videoclip in the 90’s. They also walked through the ‘vielas’ (alleys) where people can also reach many different places inside it.
An experience that allows the students of Rio & Learn to see closer the social reality of the carioca capital, since many people know the city only because of the most popular landmarks such as Cristo Redentor, Pão de açúcar and also beaches that we have here. So, come and have the same experiences that our students did with our RioLIVE!
