Yesterday we had a lot of fun at
Parque Lage. The place is great to relax and speak Portuguese, and besides that, it gives a nice contrast between the chaos of the city with the relaxing nature. Our
RioLIVE! started at the
Escola de Artes Visuais, which is managed by the government of
Rio de Janeiro, and our students could interact with the artists that were working, and asked many questions, thus practicing a lot of Portuguese. Inside the school it is possible to have a great view of the Christ statue. The students were very excited, and at all times made jokes about the paintings.
After that we took a walk by through the park to explore the many different things the place has to offer. The students were anxious to see an animal, specially monkeys, but we could only see one that was high on top of a tree. When we got to the aquarium we took many crazy and fun pictures. We entered a cave, climbed rocks, walked and truly explored every inch of
Parque Lage. We really had a lot of fun at Parque Lage.
