We prepared our RioLIVE! in a special way so that you can enjoy the most when you visit Rio. Every day you can find a different activity in the city and our Portuguese teachers will be your guides. With the RioLIVE! Activities, our students learn a lot about Brazilian culture and discover things that a common tourist doesn’t know, and they practice their Portuguese too. So if you are not a student yet, join us in one RioLIVE! and you will learn some easy Portuguese words for free.
There are RioLIVE! Activities for all kinds of tastes and they vary according to the day of the week. And the best part is that you don’t need to pay Rio & Learn any extra fee to join the activities on week days. Let us show you more about the fun things to do in Rio de Janeiro!
The best way to start enjoying Rio de Janeiro is by visiting a famous tourist attraction. That’s why on Mondays our RioLIVE! Activities will take you to places such as Christ the Redeemer or the beautiful Sugar Loaf Mountain. Of course that we will also show you tourist attractions that the Cariocas also enjoy. Visiting the Botanical Garden and taking a relaxing walk in it is also a great way to start the week.
And talking about relaxing walks, Botafogo beach will show you astonishing views of Rio while you walk along it in our tour. So put those on your list of activities do to in Rio.
Tuesdays are perfect for those who like sports or moving their body in general and the best part is that we will do fun things that Brazilians do in Rio de Janeiro! Have you tried playing soccer at Copacabana beach? How about having a Stand up paddle Surf class at Copacabana? You will.
Another great thing about Tuesdays is that we also have dancing RioLIVE! Activities. You will have Samba or Forró classes in Portuguese. Um, dois, três…Um, dois, três…
Do you like history and culture? How about Brazilian history and Brazilian Culture? History is also part of the fun things to do in Rio de Janeiro and on Wednesdays there are historical RioLIVE! Activities in which you can learn a lot about not only Rio de Janeiro but also Brazil. Visit the former presidents’ house at Palácio do Catete or take a walking tour with us through Downtown Rio and finish the afternoon having a cold beer in one of the most famous streets downtown.
You can also try a typical Capoeira class and live the Brazilian culture of our ancestors or visit Porto Maravilha and reflect on the future.
The only way to understand why Rio de Janeiro is called the Marvelous city is joining us on our Thursdays RioLIVE! Activities. You will see the most beautiful landscapes in the city walking through neighborhoods such as Urca or taking a boat to watch the city from a distance at Niterói!
Hike to the top of Dois Irmãos or watch an unforgettable Sunset at Arpoador and it will change the way you see life.
It’s not possible to talk about activities to do in Rio on Fridays without talking about party. It’s one of the most fun things to do in Rio de Janeiro! We’ll take you to the best places to party in Rio and you are going to enjoy the Carioca nightlife having a Caipirinha at Lapa , dancing Samba at Pedra do Sal or Forró at Feira de São Cristóvão.
Night is young so don’t you dare sleeping on a Friday night in Rio de Janeiro!
Our Rio de Janeiro calendar also brings you the RioLIVE! Weekends. They are special activities we have on weekends and you can join as many of them as you wish. These activities to do in Rio are not free and you can find all the information and costs of them in the Rio de Janeiro events calendar. You can participate on them as many times as you wish, even if you are not a student.
Come by yourself or invite a friend to spend the day exploring Tijuca Forest, visit the imperial city of Petrópolis or watch a football match at Maracanã Stadium and fill up your weekend with fun things to do in Rio de Janeiro.
