What does galera mean in Portuguese?
Galera means Folks/People in Portuguese. We can use the word Galera to refer to a group of people in different contexts. This expression is very important because Brazilians, especially cariocas, use it a lot! Take a look at the video and see how we use it in our day to day life:

The most important thing is to use it to talk to several people, not just a person. Here we are using galera to call our students! Let’s study, folks!

The word Galera can be used to introduce someone to other people.
