Gigóia Island is located in Barra da Tijuca, a neighborhood that used to be a flooded area before. Now, it’s a very famous residential area in Rio, with beautiful surrondings and a mix of nature and city you are going to adore!

Cost of the activity: 6,50 metro + 35 boat tour + lunch at the restaurant
In this activity we will start by taking a guided boat tour. This is an adventure by itself, for sure!!! This way, we will get to know more about the island and get to see every part of it. We will also learn about the history and curiosities about Gigóia Island. You will get to see even an exclusive part which is the natural habitat for birds, capybaras, alligators and many other beautiful animals!!!
Afterwards, we will finish our visit having delicious lunch at the best and most traditional restaurant there. We can try tasty food, which are authentic Brazilian cuisine! Yummy!!! Also, we got to see magnificent views and take amazing pictures of Pedra da Gávea, Pedra Bonita and the nature around. If you are a nature lover, this is the place to observe and align yourself with nature! This is a highly recommendable activity to get to know a different part of Rio while you practice Portuguese.
