Gringos at Forte do Leme
Our beautiful students and Sugar Loaf.

Students having fun at the nature.
Forte do Leme is one of the most beautiful places in Rio de Janeiro. But, it is not one of the most popular. Called Forte da Vigia in the past, this militar base was built to alert other forts about boats approaching. The oficial name of Forte do Leme is Forte Duque de Caxias. Where today, there is a very big area of environmental protection and also a Brazilian Army Studies Center.
We started our RioLIVE! taking a nice walk through the beach until the neighborhood of Leme. We took a nice trial and our Portuguese students had contact with some little monkeys that were passing by the place, they loved it. When we got at the top of the hill, we were really amazed with the landscapes. From there, it is possible to see the Christ Redeemer, Sugar Loaf Guanabara’s Bay,Niterói, Pedra da Gávea, Copacabana and other beautiful landscapes.
It was a real nice RioLIVE! We are sure that our Portuguese students loved it. What about you? Do you want to have fun, study Portuguese and see the best places in Rio de Janeiro? Come to Rio & Learn and take part in our RioLIVE! Activities.
