This position requires a 44-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with classes scheduled between 8 am and 8 pm. You will conduct classes, RioLIVE! activities, will enjoy training, team organizational meetings, lesson preparation, help in learning content creation, and other tasks that support your professional growth.

Your daily hours may vary. Some days or weeks may require fewer hours, while others may require more. Don’t worry—every hour is tracked and recorded accurately!

Starting as a Portuguese Teacher, you will earn 2400 reais. With strong performance, you can advance to Cônsul Portuguese Teacher (2600 reais) first and later to Embaixador Portuguese Teacher (3400 reais). Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and online classes for foreign students at various proficiency levels.
• Develop teaching materials, plan lessons, Dicas, and create engaging activities.
• Organizing and leading external activities known as RioLIVE! or our online activities or RioONLINE!
• Follow our established methodologies and class teaching style.

Qualifications

• Embrace the relaxed and enjoyable culture of our school. If you prefer a more formal setting, this may not be the right fit.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong command of the Portuguese language, including grammar, spelling, and syntax—after all, we are a Portuguese school! 😉
• Familiarity with the use of Google tools (such as Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc) for lesson preparation and delivery.
• Experience with AI tools for lesson planning is a plus.
• Completed or in-progress university education.
• A collaborative mindset. We value teamwork—even the boss serves the coffee, and that’s perfectly fine!
