Last Friday we had our RioLIVE!
Karaoke with Portuguese. We formed a group of 17 people and we went to Feira de São Cristóvão
, a great place to speak Portuguese and have fun at the same time. Our Portuguese students could know a little bit about the northeastern culture and realize the cultural differences that we have in Brazil. Our first stop was at the restaurant called Barraca Chiquita
, where we enjoyed a great northeastern dinner. In our menu we had, baião de dois, carne de sol, aipim frito, feijão tropeiro and farofa. We ate a lot, our students loved the food.
Then, since we had a forró class
this weekend at the school, we decided to dance forró
. It was a total interaction moment among the students, because those who did the forró class last Tuesday could teach the others some steps, it was a great moment to practice Portuguese. After some caipirinhas and beers, we decided to have a karaoke with Portuguese party. They had a lot of fun trying to sing the songs in Potuguese, it was a great night with forró, karaoke
, caipirinhas and good food.
