Last Friday we had a nice visit to Lapa, surely the most famous night neighbourhood in Rio.
We started our visit in Escadaria Selarón where we get to know the history of this colorful place plenty of tiles from around the world. Our students from Japan, Greece, Ireland and Switzerland looked for some tile from their countries. They learned about some legends about the place and we took nice pictures that you can see at the end of the post.
After that, everybody looked kind of anxious to have a ‘gelada’ cold beer. Before that we took some nice pictures around Lapa and their famous ‘arcos da Lapa’.
After having some dinner and beer at one of the best botecos at main Lapa street (Av. Mem de Sá), we went to listen live Roda de Samba at one of the most typical samba places in Lapa, were the night ended with smiles and traditional music.
See below some of the pics we took.
