I’ve only been in Rio 5 days so I’m only able to recognise simple words and give basic responses. Even so, Sylvia made my first Rio Live a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Having been a little worried about joining in with my level of Portuguese, she was quick to put me at ease with her gentle and encouraging nature. She has a knack for bringing the whole group together. Unbeknownst to me, I had agreed to go shopping so ended the evening watching the girls sifting through overpriced clothes. Pay particular attention if you hear the words ‘comprar’ and ‘roupas’ in close proximity!

We had a great afternoon at the city of Niteroi, visitin the MAC museum, enjoyoing the espectacular view of Rio de Janeiro, and chilling at the beach, drinking a cold coconut water. The studest were very impressed by architecture of Oscar Niemeyer, and the art you can see inside the museum. In the end of our RioLIVE! we talked a lot about all the Niterói’s beauties we saw.
