Stand up paddle was great fun. Managed to stand up after a few minutes and off I went. The sea is lively and warm and very safe. At times if you are lucky you will see the giant turtles that swim really close by. Give it a go, itβs great fun.
Lee Marshall, England

In this RioLIVE! Activity the group of Portuguese students went paddle boarding at Copacabana Beach. The crew had a fun chat while walking all the way to the end of the beach to Copacabana Fort where they met the paddle boarding instructor. Then, the students and the teacher had a quick lesson (in Portuguese of course) on how to paddle board. It feels hard at first but once you get the hang of it, it is so much fun and a great exercise. The sea had short waves that were a good challenge for the students. Everyone in the group had a try and one student, Lee from England, was the best one. At the end, the group was feeling great from the exercise and relaxed at the beach while having some caipirinhas.
