Parque do Catete

Parque do Catete. That was our RioLIVE! at this time. Our Portuguese students had the opportunity to visit one more very nice and interesting in Rio de Janeiro. Located at the neighborhood of Catete, in the South of the city, Parque do Catete is a very popular and visited place, it is divided in two parts, in the first part there is a building where used to be the official residence os presidents of Brazil before the construction of Brasília, nowadays the building shelters a very nice museum that tells a little bit about the Brazilian Republic. The second part is a very beautiful and cozy park, there people can take a walk to relax, read books or simply talk to friends.
Our Portuguese students from Canada, Australia and Holland went into this journey at the park. We started our visit inside the Museum, called Museu da República, a very beautiful place where people can see many different but wonderful details in its construction, with each step, our students were really happy and satisfied having so much information about the Brazilian History. After the museum, we decided to take a walk inside the park and they could practice a little bit more their Portuguese see other alternatives that cariocas have to relax.
After so much information and Portuguese practice, we finished our RioLIVE! having a nice and funny conversation in Portuguese about their experiences in Rio de Janeiro so far.
