This was such a great day, and I am excited to tell others about it! Our RioLive started with a short hike at Parque da Catacumba. As someone who never hikes and has spent the last 3 months living off of pães de queijo, I was a little nervous, but it wasn’t too hard! It is about 25 minutes mostly uphill with some time to stop and catch your breath. We made friends with a mico (a small monkey) along the way and had a beautiful view at the end. Afterwards, we went to the Lagoa and rented a swan-shaped paddle boat to search for capybaras. We ended the day at a lakeside bar where we watched the sunset. Today we practiced our Portuguese together and got to see more of this beautiful city. I highly recommend it to everyone!

We had great pedal boat fun at the Lagoon with RioLIVE! Besides the traditional hike at Parque da Catacumba, our students decided to rent this boat to explore the lagoon and look for some fish and capybaras. The best way to explore Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas while staying in a 10/10 shape!
