Is it possible to combine Portuguese, history and fun? Our students can prove that it is really possible. And that was our RioLIVE! at this time, our students took a small trip to the history of Brazil visiting Parque do Catete. It’s a very beautiful place divided in two parts, the first part is a very big and classic palace (Palácio do Catete) where it used to be the official government building and nowadays it is a very nice museum where peolple can have information about the history of the Brazilian republic. The second part is a nice park that is located behind the museum where people can take nice walks and admire the nature around it.

Our students from Venezuela, Japan and Slovakia had the experience of visiting this place. First we started visiting the museum inside the palace and our Portuguese students could get good and interesting information about the formation, beginning and consolidation of the Brazilian republic, they were also really amazed with the beauty of the place, the architecture and the small details of this historical construction. After visiting the museum, we went to the park to take a walk and meet the rest of the place, the students could relax, practice their Portuguese and have a lot of fun with each other.

We finished our RioLIVE! enjoying the nature around the park and also the historical constructions around the place. It was a very nice activity and our students could surely combine Portuguese, history and fun at the same time. And you? What are you waiting for to come to Rio de janeiro, study Portuguese and have fun with our RioLIVE! Activities?!
