Relaxing Parque do Catete - Flamengo

My second RioLIVE! this week was a visit to the original presidential palace in the Catete Neighboorhood. Along with myself instructor Diogo and fellow students Sidne and Iztel we toured the three floors of the historic building where after the grand staircase entryway each room was more elaborate and fit for a president than the previous one! Afterwards we walked in the adjacent park alongside the fountains and ducks practicing Portuguese reminiscing of our favorite Argentinian and Chilean wines.

Portuguese, History, Nature and Wine. Sounds like a weird combination but we did this conversation combo with RioLIVE! Our Portuguese students visited Catete’s Palace. A historical and classic building that used to be the official Presidents’ House when Rio was the capital. After visiting we could take a nice walk at the park which is inside the area and relax since it is really cozy. We ended our activity admiring the place and talking about Portuguese, history, nature and wine as mentioned before.
