Jardim Botânico and Portuguese.

Portuguese at the nature. That was one more RioLIVE! that we had to start the week very well. Our Portuguese students from Rio & Learn had the opportunity to visit one of the most green anf famous places in Rio de Janeiro, Jardim Botânico (Botanic Garden). Located in the neighborhood that receives the same name, Jardim Botânico is the perfect place for people who want to relax, be in contact with nature and also be away from the city’s hustle and bustle.

Our students from Japan and the United States took this trip with us to meet this amazing place. We started our visit at the main entrance and walking along among the beautiful and tall palm trees that are inside the place, students got really amazed on how these trees are so big and well treated. They continued walking around the place and with each step they could see new types of plants and also new types of flowers, they loved the orchids and kept taking some pictures for a while.

They also loved the small fall, the lake and some rock constructions that are at Jardim Botânico. We finished our RioLIVE! with a nice conversation in Portuguese in front of the lake and meeting each other a little bit better, that’s a really nice way to use Portuguese at the nature. What about you? Do you want to learn Portuguese, have fun, meet nice people and see great places in Rio? Come to Rio & Learn and take part in our RioLIVE! Activities.
