Yesterday we visited the Forte do Leme. It was a beautiful day and perfect for our hike to the top. The Forte do Leme is located in an active military compound and was originally built in the 18th Century to warn the local habitants of enemy vessels approaching. It is a relatively easy walk and you really feel at peace as you climb the winding path through a charming forested area. There were lots of friendly Micos which are small monkeys native to Brazil hanging around and we got to practice our Portuguese as we climbed. Once at the top there are beautiful views of Copacabana beach, Corcovado and the Sugarloaf. It was an awesome afternoon and thanks again for another great RioLive experience.

Que tal passar a tarde admirando o Forte do Leme? Nossos estudantes de Português estavam muito animados para fazer isso. Eles começaram essa RioLIVE! com uma bela trilha até o topo do Forte do Leme, um bom momento para entrar em contato com a natureza e as coisas que ela pode oferecer.
Depois de de chegar no topo. Eles tiveram belas vistas do Pão de Açúcar e das Praias do Leme e Copacabana. Um lugar perfeito para desfrutar e também interagir com os micos que vieram nos ver.
