Yesterday, we took an amazing trip to Forte Copacabana and Arpoador. The fort had a museum about Brazilian history and an amazing view of Rio. We learned about the military history of Brazil and saw a beautiful temporary exhibit about Brazilian art. After we left the fort, we hiked to Ipanema to watch a gorgeous sunset. The sunset spot was full of families, friends, and tourists all taking in the natural beauty together. We even got to see an outdoor capoeira display on our way back to Copacabana! It was a fantastic evening practicing Portuguese and making friends with our fellow classmates and Albert (coolest guy around)!
