Rio On Foot

RioLIVE! Six people on a bench. One boy and five girls. Niterói view from Rio. Botafogo Cove

First of all, would you believe if I told you that Rio de Janeiro is good place to peregrinate? Our students found out by walking along the Botafogo Cove that Rio on foot is actually a great idea because they have learned that the whole landscape project of the Aterro do Flamengo was conceived by the great brazilian artist and architect Roberto Burle Marx, deceased in 1994. Another reason that Rio on foot is a nice way to spend the day is that you have quality time to experience and sense the environment while walking. Getting sunlight is great but there’s also the wind, the sent of trees and flowers, the salt in the sea… Besides that, things like witnessing aircrafts taking off from the Santos Dumond airport are therefore details that make this Rio on foot activity unique !
