Parque da Catacumba is near Copacabana and has some of the best views of Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas. Legend says that it was there at Morro da Catacumba where Indians buried the dead before the Portuguese conquerors arrived to Brazil.
How about going biking around lagoa? Rio de Janeiro has an incredible variety of landscapes. One of the nicest places to see a 360 panorama of these beautiful landmarks is from Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas. Near Copacabana and Ipanema, this lagoon is one of Carioca’s favorite places to enjoy outdoor activities and sports.
Considered a wealthy area in Rio de janeiro, Lagoa has great residential buildings and it is a desired neighborhood to live in. Running, jogging, or even walking with your family are activities that can be done around the lake, while enjoying the great views the city offers including, but not limited to, Cristo Redentor. We are sure that with this activity you can see Rio in a different yet charming angle.
