In many situations, instead of the number seis (6), brazilian people say meia. We do that because meia is the short form of meia dúzia (half a dozen). Let’s hear the pronunciation?

Examples Using Meia and Six in Portuguese

Notice that it’s only possible to use meia instead of seis when we say a sequence of numbers, for example, when you say a phone number. Take a look at some examples:
