Slacklining
I was thrilled to to participate in a Carioca activity like slacklining. The culture surrounding the sport is so relaxed and welcoming. It was difficult to start, but with the help and explanation of our Carioca teacher, Berto, I found myself across the line in no time! I hope to continue practing on the beach and making new Carioca friends. What an awesome experience!

Slacklining is a typical Carioca activity. As you saw in lots of other of our posts Carioca practices sports very often, and you have plenty of activities to do at the beach. Slacklining is one of the most practiced activities at the afternoon just before the sunset.
Our students from US, Greece and Ireland get to know this activity. Our trainer, Beto said before the practice (always talking in Portuguese) that usually adults are not able to do from one side to the other one. Our student David show himself as the most Carioca and he was able to go from one side to the other one and came back again! You don’t really how difficult it is!
See below a video with our students slacklining and getting together. As always, all the activity was in Portuguese language 😉
