Smile – City
Yesterday we visited Niteroi and… que legal! The view of the bay was beautiful, just as all the cariocas say! The Niemeyer museum was very good to look at, futuristic yet very elegant! The boat ride was nice as well, surely the most impressive ferry ride I’ve had!!!! The sunset was a great ending to a very good day!

Yesterday, our RioLIVE! was an interesting visit at Niterói. Better known as Smile – City or Niquiti, Niterói or Smile – City is the fifth biggest city in the state of Rio de Janeiro. As it is located in the other side of the Guanabara’s Bay, it has only two access to Rio de Janeiro: Rio-Niterói Brigde and the ferry boats. It is a big financial center, having the best human development ratings. That’s why the city is the twelfth one among the one hundred best cities to make business.
We left the school and took the bus until Praça XV (ferry boats station) where we took the ferry boat to the Smile – City. We visited the Contemporary Art Museum (MAC), with a very beautiful and daring architecture. There, there was a very creative exhibition, our students practiced their Potuguese in an very intensive way, because all the paintings and pictures didn’t have subtitles in another language. When we left the museum, we had the opportunity to take pictures of the beautiful landscape and the sunset. It was an awesome activity.
Come and take part in our RioLIVE! Activities.
