Going to Santa Teresa with Rio Live was an amazing experience. Instead of conjugating verbs, we learned Portuguese by discussing the details of a perfect Feijoada and the history of Santa Teresa from a quilombo to a hipster bairro. Plus we got to see one of Rio’s best views from Parque das ruínas and then hang out on the Escadaria Selarón with a few Caipirinhas. A perfect Friday afternoon!!

It was 1 p.m. on a Friday, classes were over and we were hungry. Luckily there was a perfect place to go on our RioLIVE!. We took the Bondinho to the sunny Santa Teresa and had an amazing Feijoada! Soon after we went to Parque da Ruínas where we were surprised by a live Samba concert with local musicians. We decided to sit for a few minutes and enjoy the surprise.
