La visita alla favela di Santa Marta è stata un’esperienza meravigliosa! Poter vedere questa parte di Rio, diversa e allo stesso tempo interessante, mi ha fatto capire quanto sia grande e diversa questa città. Parlare con le persone, camminare per le strade e conoscere le loro storie è stato un ottimo modo per concludere l’anno. Inoltre, la vista, la possibilità di trovarsi nello stesso spazio in cui si trovava Michael Jackson è stato un vantaggio che ha reso questa visita ancora migliore! Un ottimo modo per concludere il 2023!

The last dance of 2023 was just great. We spent the afternoon visiting a real favela in Rio de Janeiro with RioLIVE! Weekend Santa Marta. This visit was a perfect way to get to know these communities from the inside, breaking down stereotypes perpetuated by people who know little about them. We walked through its narrow streets, talked to people, admired the views, and left with a whole different idea of this place. A perfect way to end the year: the last RioLIVE! and the last dance of 2023!
