Cachaça is a popular distilled alcoholic beverage in Brazil. It has two different varieties: unaged or white and aged or gold. Cachaça is a distilled spirit made from sugar cane juice. It was firstly produced in Ilha da Madeira. Cachaça is produced in a place called Alambique. And the finest ones can be found in Minas Gerais, Paraty and Monte Alegre do Sul in São Paulo.
The most famous cachaça in Brazil is 51. It’s known as different names like abre-coração, água benta, aguardente, bafo de tigre and limpa olho.
In Brazil, Caipirinha is the main drink made of cachaça.
