Types of Roads
Rua – it’s a common public road. Usually, there’s a lot of types of houses and buildings on it.
Avenida – it’s a wide urban public road. Wider than the street and the main access among the city’s main points.
Estrada – it’s a rural public road. It’s more common in the countryside or farther areas of the city.
Via expressa – it’s a road designed for high speed traffic. Also known as Interstate or Parkway.
Travessa – it’s a road smaller than a Rua. It’s usually diagonally across two streets.
