There’s also a bunch of different laughs that you can use and express specific reactions when speaking to Brazilians.
The classic one, used around the world is also common in Brazil, but used mostly in formal reactions.
This one is like Hahaha, but more controled, as if something’s not really that funny.
The abbreviation of risos (laughs in Portuguese), is used for a shy laugh, irony or flirting! It really depends on the situation.
kkkkkkkkk: The all-purpose laugh
Huehuehue: You’ve probably seen this iconic Brazilian laugh somewhere, right? Used mostly in online gaming, it’s known as a registered mark for Brazilian gamers.
Random letter laughs: There’s also the Brazilian way of laughing online; random button mashing.
