Apres-midi beach volley au top avec les autres élèves ! Pedro nous a appris le vocabulaire de ce sport en même temps qu’on jouait. Les RioLIVE! sont parfaits pour connaître d’autres personnes et pratiquer son portugais dans des situations concrètes. Vivement la prochaine session 🙂

In this RioLIVE! Activity we played a volleyball match at Copacabana Beach on a sunny, not-so-hot day. Together we were representing five countries: Brazil, USA, England, France and Germany. The student Susan from England decided she would be the referee and photographer of our game. Before starting the students learned the volleyball vocuabulary in Portuguese so they could communicate during the match. They learned words such as saque, toque, manchete, corte and bloqueio. At some point we were joined by Daniel, a very nice and skilled carioca boy. All the students playing had played volleyball before so we had a surprisingly competitive match. At the end some of the students went in the water and others just refreshed themselves in the fresh water showers available at the beach.
