Today, we went to parque large, which is at the foot of Corcovado. In the center of the park, there is a grand residence, which now houses an art school, with an open air cafe and students working on their art. Throughout the parque, there are many trees with jaca…or durian. Also, there are many cool areas to explore, like a small aquarium and castle-like structure. The view throughout the park is beautiful, with huge trees or Corcovado. Muito legal!

Walking through Parque Lage. That was our RioLIVE! at this time, a nice visit through this place that is very famous in Rio de Janeiro. Located at the neighborhood of Jardim Botânico, Parque Lage was in the past property of a very famous business man, Henrique Lage, after his death the park a public place controlled by the government of Rio de Janeiro.
Our students from Italy, England, Switzerland, and United States had the opportunity to know and to explore this very nice place. We started our RioLIVE! meeting the EAV (Visual Arts School) that is located inside an old building with a very nice and classic architecture, our Portuguese students walked around the place admiring it and seeing the paintings that students do daily. After the arts school, we decided to take a walk around the place, with every step our students were getting more and more amazed with the pieces of nature and the different types of trees inside it, since for many of them it was their first time there, and some of them even didn’t know about this place.
We finished our RioLIVE! having a nice conversation in Portuguese and sharing experiences in the city. Some of them have just arrived in Rio de Janeiro, so, it was a very nice opportunity to get to know each other better. What about you?
