How to say Where Is in Portuguese

The expression where is in Portuguese is used to ask about location, it can be a person or an object, whenever we want to ask about a specific location, we use it.

Structure of Where is in Portuguese

In order to form its structure we have to use the word onde, verb estar and the definite articles o/a. Let’s clarify that:

Where is in Portuguese with preposition EM

So we have a specific structure to ask, and use another specific structure to answer. In this case the preposition EM is really important. We use the preposition Em and its variations no/na, nos/nas with verb estar in the same sentence.

Ele está nos Estados Unidos.
He is in the United States.

As you could see, we use no/na to talk about masculine and feminine nouns and nos/nas when it is plural.

C'est vraiment fantastique...RioAndLearn. Les cours de portugais...ça vaut vraiment la peine. Les cours ont lieu du lundi au vendredi, (de 9h à 13h) et en après midi, ce sont des activités libres en groupe. (Soccer de plage, volleyball , excursions, visites des lieux touristiques, etc) Vendredi soir, on est allé à Lapa, un quartier nocturne de Rio. C'est quelque chose à voir! Des rues bondées de monde, des orchestres, des discothèques...Allô les décibels! L'apprentissage du portugais se fait en immersion, aussi bien en salle de classe que dans les activités extérieures organisées par Rio&Learn.
