La visite de la favela de Rocinha a ete une visite interessante, notre guide locale Carlos est une personne qui a beaucoup de connaissances sur Rocinha, nous avons passe une journee pleine de surprise et j`ai maintenant une image totalement diferente des favelas de Rio. Je recommande cette visite.

Yesterday, we had an amazing morning in the wonderful Rocinha. Have you ever been in a favela before? The experience of visiting a favela is incredible, besides that, to visit Rocinha is even better and interesting. Why? Because this slum is the biggest in Brazil, and also is one of the biggest in Latin America. So, there are many stories and things to enjoy.
Our students were from France and United States. They were super interested to see all the alleys and streets, hear stories about there and understand how the life in a favela is. Surely, we took a lot of pictures of the landscape – which is amazing, and also of the buildings.
We started our tour on a slab with panoramic view of the favela. So, from this slab was possible to look the several kinds of houses, some smaller, other bigger. Our guide told many curiosities and stories about there. It was too much nice to practice Portuguese, having a lot of knowledge.
After that, we walked through the streets, meeting local people and looking each part of Rocinha. It was special because in the beggining, the students were a little afraid of visiting a favela. So, when we started to walk, they lost the fear they had before. It was very safe and interesting for all.
