Get ready to discover Rio de Janeiro from a completely different perspective! In this RioLIVE! activity, we’ll take a boat tour around Guanabara Bay, surrounded by some of the most beautiful and famous views of the Marvelous City. From the water, we’ll have a unique view of the city, combining nature, history, architecture, and breathtaking scenery. Along the way, we’ll enjoy the breeze, relax, chat, and, of course, practice Portuguese while discovering interesting facts about Rio.
During our boat tour, we’ll see some of Guanabara Bay’s most famous landmarks from a completely different angle. Along the way, we’ll be able to see places such as the Rio-Niterói Bridge and the historic Ilha Fiscal, famous for hosting the Last Ball of the Empire, just a few days before the Proclamation of the Republic. As we sail, we’ll also talk about the city’s history, its landscapes, and the importance of Guanabara Bay to Rio, making the tour both a cultural and fun experience.
Besides learning more about Rio, this is the perfect moment to simply enjoy the Carioca atmosphere. During the tour, some fruit will be served, adding an extra tropical touch to the experience as we admire the city and take amazing photos. We’ll also have plenty of opportunities to practice Portuguese naturally, talking about what we see along the way, learning new words, and sharing the experience with our classmates.
Our experience may also include a visit to the Navy Cultural Center, where we can learn more about Brazil’s maritime history and see different vessels up close. One of the most interesting moments is the opportunity to step inside a submarine and explore its interior, discovering what the space is like and learning more about naval life and technology.
Because some of Rio’s best views can only be appreciated from the water! This RioLIVE! combines nature, history, culture, beautiful scenery, and Portuguese practice in a unique and relaxing experience.
