Our Portuguese students took a beautiful afternoon in Rio de Janeiro to do the RioLIVE! at Forte Duque de Caxias, also known as Forte do Leme. A good place for those who like history, nature and beautiful views.
We met in Copacabana and walked by the beach until Forte do Leme having a nice conversation in Portuguese. Our students started the visit making an ecological hiking in a environmental preserved area and protected by the army.
From the top part of the fort, we could see the beaches of Leme and Copacabana, Forte de Copacabana, Pedra da Gávea, Morro Dois Irmãos and Pão de Açúcar. It was the perfect moment to take amazing pictures, since the view is so beautiful. In the end, we finished our RioLIVE! watching a small movie telling the history of Forte do Leme.
