VIVA RIO !!!!!!!!!

Duque de Caxias Fort was built between 1776 and 1779 with the objective of alerting about enemies ships. In the begining, the fort didn’t have weapons and it was called “watch fort”. After the Republic Proclamation, it was known as Leme’s Fort. We left the school and walked until the neighborhood of Leme. Then, we started our 800m walk in an environmental protected area. This meeting with the nature was wonderful, because we were received by a group of tamarins that didn’t bother and people took photos. In the fort there are also religious connections, because the ecological way up has the Sacred Way that is an old Roman way, very important for the Catholic Church. We arrived at the historical site that is located at the top of the mountain and we had the privilege of staring one of the most beautiful views in Rio de Janeiro. From the Leme’s Fort is possible to see the Sugar Loaf, Cristo Redentor, Pedra da Gávea, Guanabara’s Bay, Copacabana’s Beach and Niterói. We took many pictures. It was an unique moment. How about living this experience? So, come and take part at RioLIVE! activities.

Tiramos muitas fotos. Foi um momento único. Que tal viver uma experiência como essa? É simples. Basta participar das atividades RioLIVE!
