With a beautiful sunny afternoon at Cidade Maravilhosa, our RioLIVE! last Monday was a fun walk through the Botanical Garden. We met at Rio & Learn and went by bus to the garden, and this route was great for the students to know the city a bit better and practice their Portuguese. The students from the more advanced groups helped the beginners, teaching them a few ways to introduce themselves, as well as feeding them new vocabulary. This integration is extremely helpful because they get to know each other a bit better, make new friends and practice Portuguese in a very casual and relaxed way, which is what Rio & Learn is all about!
At the Botanical Garden we walked nearly everywhere and learned a lot about the history of the place, which is a huge part of the Brazilian history. We took many pictures and the students took the time to take the perfect one for the competition Rio & Learn is having on Instagram. Besides enjoying the nature, the students asked many questions about the history of Brazil. We went to the orchid House, saw the bromeliads, the Muses water fountain and the main Palm tree alley. After a few weeks of rain and the sun finally showing up, the students are already programming themselves for the next RioLIVE! activities!
Come meet us at Rio & Learn and have fun while speaking Portuguese, taking part in our RioLIVE! activities!
